Aloha,

I am so excited to share with you the start of an adventure that I will be participating in this fall.  On September 13th, I will be in Maui, Hawaii to start a DTS (Discipleship Training School) at YWAM (Youth With A Mission).  YWAM is a global Christian organization that is focused on mission work and making God known to the nations.  Their core purpose is to “know God and make him known.”

During the 3 months of DTS’s lecture phase, I will be learning things like: God’s nature and character, God’s intention for individuals, peoples, and creation, God’s redemption: Sin and the cross, God’s family: His children and the church, and God’s word: His call and His commission doing the works of Jesus.  The next 3 months will be outreach phase (TBD but they usually go to Southeast Asia) and we will be putting all that I have learned into practice.  Evangelism, teaching, discipleship, cross-cultural communication, exercising spiritual gifts, and reaching the lost, will be some of the things I will be focusing on during this time.

I am so excited to see the things that God will be working on in myself and the things He will be doing through our team.  This is going to be a life changing experience which would not be possible without your support.  Whether through prayer or financial contribution, your support means the world to me as I embark on this life changing experience to continue to know God and make him known to the nations!

Financial contribution:  There are costs associated with the DTS program and every bit counts to cover flights, tuition, etc.  Any financial contribution is very much appreciated!

Support though prayer:  Prayer over the next 6 months means so much to me!  Prayers for this preparation phase as I start getting ready by packing and planning.  Prayer for strength and guidance as I do things that may be a bit out of my comfort zone would also be greatly appreciated!
